If you want a more serene place to stay without the crowds to contend with, then head on to Playa Chac Mool right beside the popular Playa Forum.  It’s not a commonly accessed beach, so you’ll have it all for yourself, less the noise but not the fun.  Though it doesn’t have any umbrellas or loungers, it can give a lazy afternoon some kick and a casual feel.

Playa Tortugas

This beach is the best when it comes to family groups looking for the calmest waters in Cancun.  It has no waves, giving it the quiet feel and peaceful waters that children can simply swim around without fear.  It has a marina, an excellent restaurant fronting the beach and offers opportunity for bungee jumping for the more adventurous spirits.  The size is wide enough to accommodate hundreds, but the weekend sees it with a lot of people looking for their place under the sun.  Sumptuous food is offered by some establishments and various seafood specialties are must try for anyone who’s here.
